Muskoxen are land mammals that live in the Arctic. They have long curved horns and multilayered thick hair. They live in herds and will crowd together for protection and warmth during Arctic winter storms.
Why it is interesting: Muskox now live in the arctic section of all three continents. It is thought that they migrated across the Bering Strait into Alaska and the Canadian Arctic, just as the Inuit did.
